Today, van Bon can celebrate his first time as the #1 in the OCM ranking.
Airik said in the press release: "We knew it the first time we saw him, that this was something special. He trained very hard, and we can see that it paid of."
Van Bon was bought by Team airik the 23. August 2009 and in the beginning he was a good teammate under the lead of Ragnar Edvardsen and his first result was in Bordeaux-Toulouse(edition #12) when he was told to go for a break away, and he finished 2nd. In his first race as captain, Norwich-London, he finished 3rd and since that race, he have got a top 6 result in all races(not in Germany thou).
Van Bon have also got a final leadout who will assist (Pierre Nieuwendijk) to win the hardest sprints.

Just need 8th or better in Sri Lanka tomorrow to regain the title...it's in the bag ;)
He is there to stay some seasons :P
Probably will Hogdson take back the #1 after Norwich-London, but Baturin? Probably not :P
Should read 'van Bon, #1 in the OCM tour temporarily'. Granted he has had a good start to the season, but Rodney will be back where he belongs within days. And, Baturin is also looking to overtake van Bon in the rankings too ;)
Yeah, that's right. Then it'll be GP Funen. ;)
Actually, he isn't signed up :) I thought Julius was better for the race then van Bon.
Wow, he's fantastic! Congratulations!
Though, I hope to defeat him in Norwich-London this time! ;)
Very very nice sprinter, and congrats!
